Villa Il Poggio has all its accommodation on the first floor. Steps lead from the garden to the entrance where there is a covered loggia and a balcony running the length of the front of the house. The loggia opens into the living/dining area off which is a fully equipped kitchenette. There is a comfortable lounge with dining table and chairs, settee, armchairs (one of which converts to a bed on request), decorative fireplace, satellite television, Dvd player and patio doors opening onto the balcony. Both the living/dining area have air conditioning ( payable locally) and there is Wifi internet connection. There are two pretty bedrooms, one with double bed and one twin with two French beds, (which can convert to a double on request), and two bathrooms (one with bath/shower, the other with shower). An extra bed can be added to the twin bedroom on request.

Below the villa is a large patio and garden area which is a lovely spot for relaxing and dining al fresco. The patio and garden are furnished with table, chairs, sun umbrella, barbecue and there is even a wood burning pizza oven.

Steps lead down from the patio to the pretty swimming pool (12m x 5.5m) which is built into the hillside, therefore enjoying lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The pool is surrounded by a sun terrace and furnished with sun loungers.

Although immersed in the Tuscan countryside, just 500m from Villa Il Poggio is a little hamlet with handy grocers shop and bar. There are plenty of lovely local restaurants to try in the area, the nearest of which is less than 1km down the road.

The location is perfect for visiting the area with many of the regions famous sights such as medieval San Gimignano, wonderful Chianti villages and wineries within easy driving distance. The famous cities of Florence and Siena can also be easily reached via nearby road and bus links.
