La Pergola is a charming apartment, ideally situated in beautiful countryside yet within walking distance of medieval San Gimignano. In front of the apartment is a lovely terrace shaded by a pergola and in the vineyard below is a private swimming pool surrounded by olive trees and enjoying a pretty view of the landscape.

The apartment is on the ground floor of a farmhouse with its own private entrance at the rear of the house overlooking the vineyards and fields beyond. In the other part of the farmhouse live the owners who proudly work the surrounding land and are friendly and helpful whilst not intruding on your privacy. Available from them is their own local wine, fresh eggs and fruit and vegetables in season.

Simply and comfortably furnished the La Pergola has a double bedroom, shower room and a living room with kitchen area, dining table and chairs, settee and armchair. This room opens onto the terrace which is shaded by trailing plants and furnished with a pretty stone table, chairs, sun loungers and barbecue creating the ideal spot for dining al fresco. In a secluded position in the vineyard and olive grove below the terrace is a private swimming pool (6m x 3m), perfect for a cooling dip whilst enjoying the lovely countryside.

La Pergola has the added bonus of being within walking distance (1.4 km) of the famous town of San Gimignano. Its medieval towers, famous piazza and many other historic monuments are a joy to explore and there is also a supermarket, a selection of shops and many restaurants to enjoy.

Parking is in the grounds close to the apartment. 900m from the property there is a shuttle bus service into the town. From San Gimignano there are local buses to Poggibonsi 12 kms away which has further bus, rail and road links to Siena and Florence making it very easy to visit Tuscany’s major sights.
