Fonte 2 is a delightful apartment and adjacent annex, one half of a lovely stone house on a beautiful estate in the heart of the countryside yet within walking distance of the medieval hilltop village of Monteverdi Marittima and close to the Tuscan coast and its fine beaches. Within the vast grounds of the estate is a large swimming pool and plenty of areas for relaxing and enjoying the sun and surroundings. Another highlight is the unique heated swimming pool covered with a wonderful travertine vaulted ceiling. Fonte 2 has its own terrace area and barbeque and is comfortably furnished with many artistic touches.

The estate itself is home to an amazing and internationally famous artist who lives in the main Florentine style villa. Examples of his work can be seen in a large garden on the estate, practically an open air gallery displaying bronze and travertine statues both favourite materials of the artist. With great care and attention the owner has transformed lovely stone houses on the estate into pretty apartments, adding many of his own artistic touches creating lovely accommodation in a simplistic and unique style, whilst retaining original characteristics such as exposed stone walls

Fonte 2, one half of a gorgeous characteristic stone house, is a lovely apartment with an adjacent annex. Fonte 2 has its own terrace area complete with table, chairs and barbeque for dining al fresco and enjoying a pretty view over the garden area. The apartment is on the ground floor and consists of a lovely living room with sitting area with settee (which converts to a double bed on request) leading to a kitchen area with dining table and chairs. On the same floor is a pretty double bedroom (which can convert to a twin on request) and a shower room. In a separate annex just across from the apartment is a dependence with a bedroom with French bed and a shower room.

The apartments terrace is the perfect spot for meals al fresco or just for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere. There is plenty more space in the extensive grounds and around the large swimming pool (16m x 8m) where there is a sunbathing area. There is also a unique heated covered swimming pool (9m x 3m) and a shower w/c for guests use, as well as a laundry area with washing machine (payable locally). There is also a communal room containing some exhibits of the owners art work, a satellite television, and where breakfast and dinner can be served on request.

Fonte 2 is in a lovely location, surrounded by wooded countryside yet the ancient village of Monteverdi Marittimo, with its shops and restaurant is just 500m away. on foot. There are a further selection of amenities at Castagneto Carducci and the nearest lovely beaches of the Tuscan coast are less than half an hours’ drive away. There is much to see in the nearby area, the beautiful bay of Baratti , lovely nature parks, Etruscan ruins. The historic cities of San Gimignano, and Volterra are easily visited. Electricity is payable locally.
