Four Bedroom First Floor Apartment San Gimignano

Tolly 7 is a spacious apartment on a lovely wine producing estate immersed in the countryside yet only a short distance from the famous medieval town of San Gimignano. Prettily furnished in country style, the apartment retains all the original characteristics yet is complete with today’s modern comforts and has its’ own area in the gardens below for dining al fresco. There is plenty more space for relaxing by the beautiful swimming pool framed by gorgeous views of the countryside and the towers of San Gimignano rising majestically beyond.

The Tolly estate has over 70 hectares of farmland including vineyards and olive groves and produces a variety of excellent wines and olive oil as well as other local produce, all of which can be tasted during the optional dinners the owners usually organise twice a week.

At the centre of the estate is the beautiful rambling 19th Century farmhouse, which has been completely restored and now forms seven lovely apartments. Original characteristics such as beamed ceilings, and terracotta floors have all been retained and the apartments are furnished in keeping with Tuscan tradition and country style whilst modern facilities including air conditioning, flat screen satellite television, ensuite bathrooms and internet connection ensure your comfort.

Close to the farmhouse is a large beautifully positioned swimming pool (12m x 6m) complete with a round children’s section and surrounded by terraces furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. From the pool, and indeed from all corners of the estate, are stunning views of the countryside and amazing San Gimignano perched watchfully on the hillside.

Tolly 7 is a spacious apartment on the first floor of the farmhouse. It consists of a living area with dining table and chairs, and fully equipped kitchen area, leading though to a lounge with settees (which can convert to beds on request) and satellite television. There are four comfortable bedrooms (three with double beds, and one with a single bed). One of the ensuite bathrooms has a hydromassage bathtub, the other three have showers.

An outside staircase leads from the first floor entrance of the apartment down to the gardens of the estate where Tolly 7 has a terrace area furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco. There is a large communal barbeque in the grounds for guests use and smaller portable ones are available on request. With the sun setting silhouetting San Gimignano, and the lovely view, it’s tempting to dine alfresco in the garden with a good bottle of the estate’s wine, or try one of the excellent selection of restaurants in the town.

Tolly estate is a perfect location from which to explore the area with gorgeous San Gimignano being just over 2 kms down the road, and the rest of Tuscany’s many beautiful sights such as the Renaissance city of Florence and Siena with its shell shaped piazza easily accessible by road or by bus and rail links from Poggibonsi.
The estate provides a variety of services to enhance your stay (on request, payable locally), such as breakfast, bike hire, telephone, internet access (wifi in the grounds, cable connection in the apartments), laundry facilities with washer/dryer and optional twice weekly dinners featuring the estates produce are usually arranged.
