One Bedroom Second Floor Apartment

Aurora 1 is situated in a little medieval palazzo in the beautiful historic centre of Amalfi, close to the Cathedral and yet only within minutes walk from the beach. The apartment, prettily furnished in Mediterranean style, has air conditioning and is a perfect location from which to explore gorgeous Amalfi town on foot, and enjoy the beautiful seaside and all the stunning sights that the Amalfi coast has to offer.

Aurora 1 is situated on the second floor of a palazzo in the heart of the historic centre of Amalfi overlooking a small internal courtyard. Very nicely furnished with a bright atmosphere, the apartment consists of a living area with settee (which converts to a single bed on request to accommodate an extra person), satellite television and a kitchen area with characteristic wrought iron dining table and chairs. There is a pretty double bedroom and en suite a shower room. The apartment has a little balcony off the bedroom overlooking the internal courtyard, and is equipped with modern comforts of air conditioning and hair dryer. There is a communal laundry room with washer/dryer for guests use.

The enchanting town of Amalfi with its narrow streets, gorgeous, open air cafes and restaurants serving typical local cuisine can be leisurely explored on foot, and the beach is just 70m away. There is plenty more to see further afield. Lovely whitewashed towns such as Positano and Ravello built loftily on the hillsides looking down towards the clear blue sea are close by, and you can also enjoy a trip to Mount Vesuvius or the ruins at Pompeii. Sorrento is also well worth a visit, with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and delightful maze of shops, cafes and restaurants. The local bus service reaches most of these destinations and there are also ferry services from Amalfi to the islands of Capri and Ischia as well as boat trips along the coast.

On the ground floor of the palazzo is a fitness centre with gym equipment (payable locally) and guests staying at Aurora apartments can also use the facilities at a nearby hotel just 700m away, owned by the same proprietors. Guests do not need a car to stay at the Aurora apartments, however if you do have one car parking can be arranged on request. (payable locally).
