Positano is certainly one of the most famous and picturesque towns of the Amalfi coast. This tiny town, has a lovely beach, and beautiful streets lined with whitewashed houses and pastel coloured facades, so typical of this area, winding up the hillside. There are beautiful sea views from every corner of the town and many restaurants to try. The town is renowned for its lovely boutiques if you fancy a spot of shopping, and there are pavement cafes, perfect for sipping a frothy cappuccino and watching the world go by whilst enjoying the lovely views and Mediterranean atmosphere. The town is home to many luxury private villas, some with swimming pools available for rent. Positano is a great location from which to explore the other towns of the Amalfi coast. Drive the famous ‘Amalfi drive’ coastal road or take a leisurely boat trip. You can also explore via public transport as there are various bus services to the main towns.
