Cortigiana is a gorgeous apartment extremely tastefully furnished in exquisite Tuscan style situated in a pretty farmhouse on a beautiful estate with unspoilt views of vineyards and olive groves all around. In a lovely position in the grounds is large swimming pool bordered by a sun terrace and lawns. Montepulciano, a famous Tuscan town renowned for its wine, is close by and the rest of Tuscany and Umbria is easily explored from this tranquil location.

This beautiful wine producing estate consists of an 18th Century farmhouse and two separate buildings which have been beautifully restored to their former glory and cleverly converted into holiday accommodation. Immersed in the immaculately kept grounds is a lovely swimming pool which is the perfect spot for relaxing whilst enjoying the peace and tranquillity.

Cortigiana has been perfectly renovated with great attention to detail. Original characteristics have all been retained and the traditional charm has been complemented by the addition of modern comforts such as deluxe bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite television and Wifi internet connection.

The apartment consists of a pretty living room with kitchen area, dining table and chairs, and settee (which converts to a single bed on request), a charming double bedroom and shower room. In the grounds close by a large swimming pool (16.5m x 8.5m) complete with hydro massage area and surrounded by a sun terrace and lawns. The pool is a wonderful spot for relaxing and enjoys lovely views of the vineyards and countryside beyond.

Also on the estate is a communal lounge, with billiard table, piano, satellite television, and sitting area with fireplace, and a breakfast room with lovely arched terracotta ceilings and fireplace where breakfast is served on request. There is even a tiny chapel on the estate and the owners, who are very friendly and welcoming, can often be found in the little reception and are a mine of local information.

The location is perfect for visiting the famous region of Southern Tuscany. Montepulciano, a lovely town renowned for its excellent wine is only 10 km away and Pienza, famous for its pecorino cheese, as well as beautiful Cortona are both close by. There is a grocers shop, and a restaurant in a local village just 2km away, and a further selection in Montepulciano.

The treasures of the region of Umbria with its famous hill towns of Perugia and Assisi to name but a few are also within easy driving distance. Lake Trasimeno is also very close and an interesting place to visit, it has beaches, sailing facilities, and ferry services to its islands. The main motorway link is only 11km away, making also Rome and Florence easily accessible.
