Four Bedroom Split Level Villa Chianti

Picasso 2 is a lovely recently converted barn on an estate in the heart of the Chianti. The barn is surrounded by its own grounds where there are terraces for dining al fresco, a barbecue area and in a pretty position overlooking the Florentine hills is a beautiful swimming pool. Although immersed in the countryside, there is a little village within walking distance and the city of Florence is within easy driving distance.

The estate is situated in a lovely position just off one of the prettiest country roads in the Chianti wine region. The estate is composed of two lovely barns, Picasso 1 and 2, which are identical and situated opposite each other. Close by is a totally separate private house. Both barns have been very recently restored and now form spacious villa accommodation. Every care has been taken to preserve the original characteristics with beamed ceilings and charming slanted brickwork on the windows all being retained. The barns are surrounded by their own grounds and terraces where there are tables and chairs for dining al fresco, as well as a barbecue area and in a fantastic position is a pretty swimming pool (10m x 5m) enjoying a fine view of the countryside.

Picasso 2 is on two floors, very spacious and nicely furnished in Tuscan style with hand painted furniture, yet modern comforts such as air conditioning (payable locally) and dishwashers have been added.
The ground floor consists of a very large open plan living room which has a fully equipped kitchen area, characteristic archway, dining table and chairs, sitting area with settees and satellite television, also on this floor is a double bedroom and a shower room. The living room has patio doors opening onto an area of the large courtyard terrace which divides the two barns. Steps lead from the ground floor living room to the first floor where there are three pretty bedrooms, two with double beds, one with twin beds and two shower rooms.

As well as on the courtyard terrace in front of the barn there is plenty more space for relaxing and enjoying the essence of the countryside. In the grounds surrounding the villas there are garden areas with tables and chairs for dining al fresco, a barbecue and close by in the grounds is a swimming pool with lovely views of the rolling hills and olive groves.

Picasso 2 is in a lovely location surrounded by Chianti countryside, yet a tiny local village with grocers shop and restaurant is within walking distance (800m), and just 4km away is the charming wine town of Montespertoli which has a larger selection of shops and restaurants. The city of Florence is easily accessible via nearby road and bus links (bus stop 300m), and many of Tuscany’s other treasures including San Gimignano, and Siena to name but a few are within easy driving distance.
