Six Bedroom Villa Cortona

Villa Vasari is set in a superb tranquil position just 500m from the gorgeous medieval town of Cortona. The main villa and its adjoining annex date back to the 16th Century, and are surrounded by extensive grounds with secluded areas for relaxing and dining al fresco. In a panoramic position below the villa is a large private swimming pool overlooking the beautiful countryside.

This lovely stone villa has now been fully restored, with many of the original Tuscan characteristics being retained. Both the villa and the annex have been traditionally furnished in classic Tuscan style with many carefully collected turn of the century antique pieces and family heirlooms. The main villa is on two floors with the ground floor entrance leading into a hallway off which is a fully equipped kitchen and living room complete with dining area with table and chairs and sitting area with settees set cosily around an original fireplace, there is also a separate toilet and both the kitchen and living room have patio doors opening directly onto the front garden lawns. A staircase leads to a mezzanine floor where there is a twin bedroom with en suite shower room, and further steps leads to the first floor where there is a studio, and another central lounge around which are three pretty bedrooms. One has a little wrought iron balcony overlooking the garden and ensuite shower room, whilst the other two share a larger bathroom with bathtub and shower. The annex is adjoined to the main villa, yet has its own entrance directly from the garden. All on the ground floor it has a comfortable living room furnished with a sofa, armchairs, fireplace and dining table and chairs, two double bedrooms, two en suite bathrooms and a kitchenette.

Villa Vasari immersed in a lovely estate extending over 5 hectares with vineyards and olive groves. There are pretty views of the countryside from the front terrace perfect for relaxing and dining al fresco, and the lovely private swimming pool (8m x 4m) set below the house, also enjoys a fantastic panorama. There is a barbeque/pizza oven for guests use and parking within the grounds.

Cortona,a beautiful medieval town is just 500m away and accessible on foot. Rich in history, it is a real joy to explore and has a variety of shops, and excellent restaurants. Within easy driving distance are many of the finest places of interest of Tuscany, including Siena, Montepulciano, and Pienza. The Umbrian towns of Perugia and Assisi can also be easily reached. Villa Vasari is a perfect choice for a group travelling together as in total accommodates up to 12 persons. The owners of the villa have a small apartment above the annex which they occasionally use.
