Two Bedroom Split Level Cottage Casentino

Fiorino C Cottage is situated in a lovely position on a beautiful estate with wonderful views of the verdant countryside and the Castle of Poppi. Originally a barn, it has now been fully restored into a pretty detached cottage furnished in classic Tuscan style. The cottage has its own garden area for dining al fresco and first floor balcony. Situated in a panoramic spot in the grounds is a lovely swimming pool with pretty views of the countryside and the picturesque town beyond.

Fiorino C cottage is on two levels and whilst retaining all its original characteristics such as beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, is fitted with all modern comforts. The ground floor living room, which has patio doors opening directly onto the garden, consists of a sitting area with settee (which can convert to a double bed on request), armchairs, satellite television, kitchen/ dining area with dining table and chairs, wood burning stove, kitchen corner and a shower room. Stairs lead to the first floor of the cottage where there are two pretty bedrooms, one with double bed, and one with twin beds (which can convert to a double on request) opening onto a balcony, as well as a further shower room.

The cottage has its’ own garden area furnished with table and chairs, perfect for dining al fresco and in the grounds of the estate is a lovely swimming pool (14m x7m) bordered by a sun terrace and surrounded by lawns, as well as a large gazebo and barbeques for guests use. There are wonderful views of the beautiful landscape all around with the distinctive Castle of Poppi visible on the hill beyond the valley.

Fiorino C cottage is situated on an estate just 1.5km from the picturesque town of Poppi with its supermarket, and good selection of shops and restaurants. Also on the estate is a lovely stone farmhouse, which houses eight apartments, and a further detached cottage. The attentive owners have added a laundry room with coin operated washing machine and iron for guests use, there is WiFi internet connection, and a communal room with large covered terrace area for events. The owners are friendly and helpful and happy to give useful hints and information about the local area.

The Casentino area of Tuscany, much of which is a national park, has many hidden treasures, the lovely local hill towns are a joy to leisurely explore and the main art cities of Florence and Arezzo are within an hours’ drive. Other wonderful Tuscan towns such as Siena, San Gimignano and Cortona are lovely days out.
