Chianni is an ancient hilltop town immersed in the lovely unspoilt countryside surrounding Volterra. It’s a good location from which to explore Tuscany and there’s lots of wonderful scenery to be enjoyed. Close by is the town of Lajatico, the home town of the opera singer Andrea Boccielli where concerts are often held in the summer. Volterra, a larger town close by, is definitely worth a visit and boasts many attractions including its’ famous Etruscan museum, Roman amphitheatre and many shops selling the wonderful alabaster which is crafted locally. The coast is within easy driving distance if you fancy a day by the sea, and Florence, Pisa and Siena to name but a few of Tuscany’s treasures are all lovely day trips out. See below our selection of lovely apartments with pool in area around Chianni.
