Eight Bedroom Private Villa Val d’Orcia

Villa Albert is a lovely country manor house with a dark pink façade contrasting perfectly with the azure skies and green fields that surround it, a totally unspoilt panorama of rolling Tuscan hills and meadows, all part of the estate. In the grounds close to the villa is a large swimming pool the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility, and in the garden there are tables and chairs shaded by gazebos for dining al fresco. When you can tear yourself away the treasures of Southern Tuscany are easily reached by car.

The villa itself is spread over two floors, ground and first, and is actually four apartments all interconnected with each other so they have the bonuses of each having a living/dining room with kitchen area and fireplace, yet there is space for the whole party to dine together both indoors and outdoors. Villa Albert, originally a country house, has been fully restored whilst retaining all the original Tuscan characteristics such as terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and pretty archways. The furnishings are all in keeping with Tuscan style with many family heirlooms and antique pieces creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The villa in total has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, One of the apartments on the ground floor is suitable for disabled guests, and extra persons can be accommodated on settees which convert to extra beds on request. All of the rooms on the ground floor have patio doors opening onto the garden and the upper floor is interconnected via an internal staircase.

This beautiful villa has a lovely private swimming pool (15m x 7.5m) furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. And there is plenty of space for relaxing and dining al fresco in the villas garden where there are gazebos with tables and chairs and a barbecue for guests use. The attentive owners have also added the modern comforts of Wifi internet connection, satellite televisions and a laundry room with washing machine.

The local village with a grocers shop is 6 km away and there is a supermarket and a further selection of facilities in the larger town of San Quirico d’Orcia just 15 minutes drive away. When you can tear yourself away from this idyllic country retreat, there is plenty to see nearby.

As the villa is just off the old Roman road that leads from Siena to Rome it’s a great location from which to tour the area. It’s a real treat to lazily explore unspoilt little towns close by as well as Southern Tuscany’s more famous treasures such as Montalcino and Montepulciano, both renowned for their excellent wine, Pienza, famous for its’ pecorino cheese, not to mention the many ancient spa towns, and even Siena itself which are all within easy driving distance. Further south, the interesting town of Orvieto, and Lake Bolsena are well worth a visit and even Rome is only one and a half hours’ away.
