Five Bedroom Independent Villa Chianti

Villa Chianti is a splendid 19th Century country villa with private swimming pool, situated in a lovely position on the site of an ancient castle and tiny farming hamlet and surrounded by fabulous unspoilt views of the unique rolling countryside of the famous Chianti region

The villa has been fully restored retaining many of its original characteristics such as beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and archways to form spacious and comfortable accommodation furnished in elegant Tuscan style. The ground floor of the villa which opens directly onto the lovely large terrace and swimming pool, has a fully equipped country style kitchen, and an archway leads to a luminous dining room, with long table and chairs and beautiful fireplace. There is also a laundry/wash room with washing machine, and handy w.c and 2 showers.

Stairs lead to the first floor of the villa where there is a sitting area, and an inviting lounge with a large fireplace, settees, armchairs, satellite television, DVD and stereo. There are also four lovely bedrooms, three with double beds, one with twin beds and each with private shower room. This floor also has direct access via the main entrance and external steps to the pool and garden area.

A further flight of stairs leads from the first floor to a mansard floor with sloping beamed ceiling where there is a further double bedroom also with en suite shower room. On this floor there is also a sitting room with two sofa beds which is opened on request to accommodate up to two extra persons.

In front of the villa is a lovely garden area secluded by hedges, where there is a pretty swimming pool (8m x 4m) for private use of the villas guests, and a large paved terrace with shaded area with table and chairs for eating al fresco.

Situated in a much sought after area of Tuscany in the heart of the unspoilt Chianti countryside Villa Chianti is only 1km from the pretty village of Lucolena which has a restaurant and a grocers shop and the larger towns of Figline and Greve, both only a short drive away, offer a wider selection of facilities.

When you can tear yourself away from this beautiful country retreat, there are many famous Chianti towns and beautiful scenery to visit, and the medieval hill towns of Siena and San Gimignano are both being less than an hour’s drive away. The art cities of Florence and Arezzo are also close by and can be easily reached via road and rail links from nearby Figline.

Separate to the villa, nearby ancient farm buildings have been cleverly converted into 4 lovely apartments with their own swimming pool, which are also rented and can on request to taken together with the villa to accommodate larger parties.
