Seven Bedroom Private Villa Southern Tuscany

Villa La Collina is a beautiful country manor house and two detached barns, immersed in a large farming estate enjoying a totally unspoilt panoramas of rolling Tuscan hills dotted with vineyards and olive groves. Situated in a lovely position in the grounds surrounding villa is a large swimming pool the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity, and when you can tear yourself away the treasures of Southern Tuscany are easily reached by car.

Villa La Collina has been recently restored with great care and attention retaining its original characteristics such as terracotta floors and beamed ceilings and is very nicely furnished in typical Tuscan country style. The manor house is on two floors, the ground floor consists of spacious communal rooms, including a large dining area, a lounge area with fireplace and settees, as well as handy washrooms. The first floor has been converted into lovely accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs, living room with settee, fireplace and satellite television, three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with hydro massage shower and the other with hydromassage bath tub.

Close to the main house are two beautifully restored detached barns. Both are on the ground floor and each has a living room with settee, fireplace, satellite television, a fully equipped eat in kitchen with patio doors opening onto the garden, two pretty bedrooms and two shower rooms. In one of the barns a shower room is also suitable for disabled persons.

There is plenty of space for the whole party to dine al fresco under the shade of the gazebo in the garden which is furnished with table and chairs, and there is also a barbecue for guests use. Close by is a large swimming pool (14m x 7m), perfectly placed for relaxing and taking a cooling dip whilst enjoying the unspoilt views and real essence of the Tuscan countryside. The grounds and pool of Villa La Collina are fully enclosed so perfect for larger parties seeking exclusive accommodation yet wishing retaining some privacy.

The surrounding countryside is the owners farmland, which you are free to wander. Genuinely beautiful panoramas of swaying cornfields, vineyards and silvery olive groves, with nothing to disturb the peace and tranquillity. There are many country walks to be enjoyed and horse riding is usually available nearby.

When you can tear yourself away from this idyllic country retreat, there is plenty to see nearby. A walk across the fields (1 km approx, 2 km by road) leads to tiny hilltop hamlet which has local shops, bar and restaurants, and a larger selection are available at San Casciano dei Bagni also well known for its natural thermal spas. It’s a real treat to lazily explore unspoilt little towns close by and Southern Tuscany’s more famous treasures such as Montalcino and Montepulciano both renowned for their excellent wine, Pienza, the many ancient spa towns, and Siena itself are all within easy driving distance. Further south, the interesting town of Orvieto, and Lake Bolsena are well worth a visit and even Rome is only one and a half hours’ away.
