Villa Vallombrosa, tucked away in the hills close to Florence, is a beautiful villa exquisitely furnished in chic designer style, surrounded by its own large grounds filled with greenery and with private swimming pool. The villa, adorned by a mass of trailing roses, has a gorgeous covered veranda and there is plenty more space for relaxing on the terrace, in the wonderful garden and by the swimming pool.

The modern exterior of the villa disguises the beautiful interiors which are a masterwork of design and state of the art furnishings. The huge gardens and grounds which surround Villa Vallombrosa are beautifully maintained and filled with mature trees and plants with plenty of areas for relaxing, as well as a large barbeque area complete with pizza oven and pergola with table and chairs perfect for meals al fresco. There is of course a private swimming pool (12m x 5.5m) surrounded by a sun terrace and even a very inviting hammock in a shady spot in the garden. Another highlight is the large covered veranda which has comfortable easy chairs and is adorned with gorgeous trailing roses.

The villa itself is built of various levels and is exquisitely furnished in very tasteful style with colourful pink, green and blue hues, some rooms with hand painted wall decorations and frescoes. The main entrance, effectively leads to the first level, where there is a lovely kitchen, complete with all modern appliances and a beautiful living room with lounge area with comfy settees set around an unusual central fireplace at one end and a pretty dining area at the other. This luminous living room has picture windows enjoying lovely views over the garden, and opens onto the large covered veranda. On the same floor is a shower room and the spectacular master bedroom complete with huge en suite bathroom with hydro massage tub and marble fittings. Steps lead to an upper level where there is a double bedroom and shower room. The ground level, which can be reached via internal steps from the living room or from a separate external entrance, houses a further two bedrooms, one in lovely open plan style with double bed, another with two French beds and there are two shower rooms (one with hydro massage shower). Also at this level is a pretty covered terrace furnished with table and chairs which overlooks the villas’ private swimming pool and sun terrace below. Various other extra facilities are available at the villa, such as Wi Fi internet connection, and exercise equipment. There is also a sauna and (payable locally) and a local chef can also be arranged on request.

When you can tear yourself away from this secluded spot there is plenty to see in the area. The villa is excellently located south of Florence so this wonderful art city, just 30 km away, is easily reached by road or even nearby rail links. You can visit other jewels of Tuscany such as Siena and San Gimignano, just meander through the pretty Chianti countryside or even do a spot of shopping at the various designer outlets close by. Local food shops are just 5 minutes drive away in the pretty village of Donnini, and a larger selection are little further afield (15 minutes approx).
