Four Bedroom Split Level Apartment Lucca

Camilla is an exquisite apartment on three levels in a beautiful rambling stone farmhouse house on a lovely country estate. Ideally situated in the hills above the famous town of Lucca, the house is surrounded by immaculately kept gardens where there are gazebos with tables and chairs for dining al fresco and there is a large swimming pool and sun terrace below.

The estate consists of a large stone farmhouse which has been lovingly restored and now forms four very spacious apartments. The house is surrounded by pretty gardens with lawns where each apartment has a garden area with gazebo, furnished with table, chairs and barbecue for dining al fresco, and there is also a communal wood burning pizza oven for guests use. In a sunny position in the grounds below the house is a swimming pool (13.5m x 5.5m) complete with sun terraces and handy w.c.. The grounds surrounding the house are bordered by oak woods and olive groves and there are lovely views overlooking the plain of Lucca from many corners of the estate.

Apartment Camilla is on three floors, extremely spacious and very tastefully furnished in elegant Tuscan style with many antiques, and original features such as beamed ceilings have been retained. The ground floor consists of a huge living room, complete with fireplace and piano, where there is a comfortable sitting area with sofas and a large dining area with long table and chairs. On this floor there is also a fully equipped kitchen and a washroom with w.c. and basin. On the first floor are three beautiful bedrooms and three bathrooms (two of which have hydro massage bath, the other with shower). On the second floor is a suite consisting of a double bedroom, small lounge with settee (which converts to a French bed on request to accommodate an extra person) and shower room. Close by in the grounds, the apartment has an outdoor dining area with table and chairs, shaded by a gazebo and enjoying a pretty view of the countryside.

The swimming pool is the ideal spot for relaxing and taking a cooling dip and there are lovely country walks in the woods around the estate. The thoughtful owner has added the modern comforts of dishwashers, satellite televisions to the apartments and other facilities such as barbecue, pizza oven, laundry room and WiFi internet access are also available to guests. There is even a vegetable garden where you can pick your own fresh produce in season.

Although immersed in the countryside the estate is less than half an hour’s drive from the lovely walled town of Lucca which is a joy to explore in itself and from which there are excellent motorway and rail links to other main towns. The local village, just 2 km away, has a grocers shop and bakery and there is a restaurant within walking distance of the estate.
Jewels of Tuscany such as Pisa and Florence to name but a few are within easy driving distance, as is the pretty coastline of Versilia, and a visit to San Gimignano or Siena is a lovely day trip out.
