Rocca E is a pretty apartment on the ground floor of a palazzo in the centre of the little town of Staggia on the edge of the famous Chianti Classico area. It has its’ own patio area, and in the grounds is a lovely swimming pool surrounded by gardens and with a view of the ancient castle of Staggia nearby. A great location for enjoying Tuscan town life and perfectly placed for touring this lovely region.

Rocca E is simply furnished in traditional turn of the century Tuscan style, it consists of a living room with settee (which can convert to a bed on request) satellite television, fireplace, which has one side in the living room and the other into the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen has patio doors opening onto a little patio, a pretty spot for eating al fresco. There are two bedrooms one with double bed, the other with twin beds (which can convert to a double on request) and a shower room.

Athe rear of the property there is a pretty garden with swimming pool (14m x 7m) and sun terrace with a view of the ancient castle beyond. There is also a barbeque/wood burning oven for guests use, Wi Fi internet access is available and parking is within the grounds.

Rocca E is simple accommodation in the centre of this Chianti town right on the road which passes through the town so some traffic noise can be heard. A good choice for those wishing to enjoy the bustling Italian life of the town, yet have the advantage of the garden and swimming pool shared only by the four apartments at the property. Staggia itself is an interesting town dominated by the ancient ‘Rocca’ castle and has all the amenities you need within walking distance, including a selection of restaurants, shops and supermarket.

It’s a great base for exploring Tuscany, the main road links to Florence and Siena are close by and the lovely Chianti region with its wonderful scenery, little villages and vineyards is right on your doorstep. San Gimignano with its famous medieval towers is only half an hour away an there are many more of Tuscany’s many sights to see a little further afield.
