The medieval town of San Gimignano hosts a harvest festival in the month of June. There are arts and crafts stalls within the town walls selling local produce from wine to olive oil and saffron as well as paintings and craftwork all produced by local artisans. On the Sunday afternoon, there is a procession of the knights of the city in colourful medieval costumes, as well as theatre and prose displays throughout the town.
