The Giaggiolo estate consists of a cluster of houses, once an ancient Tuscan hamlet, completely restored to now form apartments and two independent cottages, some of which are holiday rentals, others housing local residents. The estate which dates back to the 1600's has ample grounds and mature gardens as well as lovely views around every corner.

Giaggiolo C Cottage, on the edge of the hamlet, is on two levels and is very well appointed and nicely furnished yet retains original characteristics of beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. The ground floor consists of a living area with settee, fireplace, satellite television, kitchen corner, dining table and chairs, and a double bedroom with ensuite shower room (adapted to suit disabled persons). A staircase leads to the first floor where there is a second bedroom with twin beds (converts to a double on request) with ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Both ground floor living room and double bedroom open onto the cottages own garden and terrace which are furnished with table, chairs, and barbeque creating a really lovely spot for relaxing and dining al fresco.

A short walk through the grounds leads up to the pool area which is surrounded by lawns and enjoys a really lovely view over the valley. The large swimming pool (15m x 8m) is heated and has plenty of space around it for relaxing. There is a gazebo for shade and also a separate hydromassage pool.

The attentive owners have of course added to the comfort of your stay by providing modern amenities at the cottage including fly screens, hairdryer, washing machine, satellite television, WiFi internet connection and a telephone for incoming calls.

The nearest town of Castiglion Fiorentino is just 7km away and as well as having a pretty historic centre, has a good selection of shops, facilities and choice of local restaurants. When you can tear yourself away from this lovely country retreat there are the endless sights of Tuscany to see. Nearby are lovely walks with marked trails through the local countryside. The lovely towns of Cortona and Arezzo are close by, or visit Montepulciano famous for its wine. The incredible art cities of Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are lovely days out and even the region of Umbria can be explored from here.
