Composed of two traditional Tuscan farmhouses and a cottage, Il Casolare is divided into seven apartments including the owner's apartment, Nilo described here, No 28 Il Granaio, No 29 Le Volte and No 26 Henry, all recently restored to a high standard to offer very comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by vineyards, Il Casolare has a fully enclosed garden filled with plants and flowers where there is also a swimming pool (14m x 6m) enjoying a magnificent panorama of the countryside.

Nilo is comfortably furnished and it consists of a living room with kitchen area, dining table and chairs, double sofa bed, a double bedroom and two shower rooms. The apartment opens directly outside onto a terrace shaded by a pergola and has table and chairs for dining al fresco.

A barbecue and a utility room with washing machine are available for communal use and parking is conveniently situated within Il Casolare. The owner and his family, who are present most of the time, are friendly and helpful whilst not intruding on your privacy.

Il Casolare is immersed in beautiful countryside yet close to San Gimignano, and within walking distance of the historic Romanesque Church of Cellole and its stately cypress trees. Only 20 minutes drive away are the Castelfalfi country club with its splendid golf course and San Vivaldo where you will find in the woods ‘Jerusalem in Tuscany’ a medieval reproduction of the sanctuaries of Jerusalem. Just 14km away is the town of Poggibonsi with its rail and road links to Florence and Siena making these famous Tuscan towns easy to visit.
